Jonathan Ocanto

Meet Jonathan - your tour guide while in Nicaragua! Jonathan has completed his certification as a Firefighter/EMT and has also had the opportunity to respond to a variety of emergency rescue calls in his experiences as a part of the Jacksonville Ocean Rescue Department in Florida.

His qualifications include responding to medical calls such as walk-in patients or calls from lifeguard towers. He has worked as the Ocean Rescue Senior Guard in Jacksonville Beach and also with the Jacksonville Fire Department. His job responsibilities were to supervise tower guards, respond to medical calls and respond to ocean rescue calls. He is also trained to provide water safety and first aid as needed. He has worked in various areas around Florida including Dania Beach and Jacksonville Beach.

With 8+ years experience in water safety / rescue and his experience as a surfer, Jonathan is more than qualified to be your tour guide. Jonathan is fluent in both Spanish and English.
